Nikki is known to be a dynamic force at Gary Peer; a true whirlwind of energy and enthusiasm! Her adventurous spirit and unwavering commitment to her clients underpins her winning formula. Her journey into real estate began in the form of a 6-year sales career as a Retail Manager at Myer, where her exceptional results, work ethic and passion for customer service quickly allowed her to shine above the rest. It was a friend’s suggestion that led her to real estate, and 25 years later, the rest is history!
Reflecting on her career, Nikki says, "Getting into real estate and the excitement of working with people and being part of one of the most significant transactions in their lives is truly thrilling. Seeing the satisfaction my vendors and buyers get from this process is the best feeling in the world." Nikki has built an outstanding reputation by focusing on the entire process; not just the end result. For her, it’s all about building connections and creating lasting relationships (and often enduring friendships) that go well beyond the transaction.
Nikki's zest for life extends beyond her work. She loves to travel, cook and entertain. At Gary Peer, she's known as the resident Nigella Lawson and Good Food Guide rolled into one, always bringing a sense of humour and fun to the office. Nikki’s dedication to health and wellbeing is highlighted by her consistent commitment to yoga, pilates and scenic walks; she is well aware that by prioritising physical and mental fitness, she is able to repeatedly achieve amazing results by always bringing the best version of herself to the table.
Nikki draws inspiration from figures like Eddie Jaku, a Holocaust survivor who wrote the bestselling book “The Happiest Man on Earth”, whose resilience and positive attitude profoundly impacted her and then motivated her to adopt the same attitude in her professional endeavours. Nikki’s family and friends are also a notable source of personal support and inspiration, particularly her daughter, Lidia, who is now a young adult. Nikki describes Lidia as an old soul; her best friend and a calming influence in her life. She loves that they can now hang out and do adult things together, with Nikki often remarking that Lidia is the grown-up in the relationship!
Family is at the heart of everything Nikki does and her “adopted family” at Gary Peer is no exception. Having now been part of the team at Gary Peer for 22 years, it really is more than just a job to Nikki; it’s her other home. ‘The culture is incredible. It’s one big happy family – literally!” she says. Recently promoted to Partner, Nikki values the recognition and reward that comes from working in such an inclusive and supportive environment and is delighted to extend the privileges and exposure that come with that role to her clients.
Whether she's helping a client find their dream home or sharing a laugh with colleagues, Nikki's enthusiasm and genuine care shine through in everything she does. As she continues to inspire those around her, Nikki's story reminds us that with passion, perseverance and good juggling skills, we can achieve great things.
