Martina, Property Manager at our St Kilda office, has been in the real estate industry for four and a half years, prior to that she worked as a Vocational Teacher in Business Management as well as an Administrator and Office Manager. Martina holds a Diploma in Frontline Management, an Agent’s Representative Certificate, a Certificate IV in Property and is currently studying a Bachelor in Property and Real Estate at Deakin University.
Martina believes she has what it takes to succeed in Property Management – a positive can-do attitude, strong communication and problem-solving skills, confidence to deal with complex issues, attention to detail and the ability to multi- task. She’s also results driven, can work independently, is not afraid to challenge others, nor is she afraid to fail. “Every day there is a room to learn, I don’t regret any negative experience as I see this as an opportunity to get better” she says.
Martina enjoys spending time chatting to her clients about many different things. She believes this makes them feel more relaxed and creates a sense of connection and comfort. As a migrant herself, Martina feels she has a good understanding of the many different challenges people in the same situation might be going through, which enables her to assist accordingly. She gains great satisfaction from helping people find their home and makes it as easy as possible for them to enjoy the process.
Martina is busy mum of two and loves hanging out with her kids doing all sorts of sport activities, watch movies or play board games. She came to Australia in 2005 with her husband Peter to learn English and explore the country, she fell in love with Australia and decided to make it home for herself and her family. Martina loves to exercise, has run two Melbourne Marathon’s and aims to run at least one more. She also loves to explore new places and always looks forward to holidays with her family. Her dream destination is New York. In her spare time Martina enjoys doing home improvements. “My most recent project was a wooden deck in my backyard and bit of landscaping – Bunnings is my favourite store!” she says.
